The Strongest's UltraSur fan group has taken responsibility for the incident, saying the flare was fired to celebrate the victory and has apologised to Godoy. They have pledged not to use flares in future matches and have called on other fans to comply with safety regulations. The Strongest Club has also spoken out, affirming that the incident will not recur and is conducting an investigation to identify the individuals responsible.

This is an unfortunate incident, reflecting the dangers of uncontrolled use of flares in a sporting environment. It not only endangers the players but also affects the image and reputation of Bolivian football. Hopefully, the relevant parties will learn a lesson and take strong measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
